This new home is built in the wing of an existing agricultural building which has been retained and converted, as part of a small scale residential development on a hilltop just outside Pitmedden. The project demonstrates how existing structures of agricultural building stock can be entirely adaptable for re-use.

 

With some well-considered interventions, the building has been completely transformed as a new energy-efficient home which maximises views and sunlight, while it maintains the character and distinction of a traditional rural dwelling.
