Although architecturally quite ordinary this scheme of terraced houses was quite innovative in terms of its procurement in that the Council funded it through its revenue budget. This was achieved by commencing construction work on site at the beginning of a financial year and completing and selling the houses by the end of the same year.

To allow this to happen we offered to take the project through planning, building warrant and competitive tendering with fees deferred till after the project had commenced on site.

The development was carried out on land owned by the Council to provide low cost home ownership opportunities to 15 families.
